Unable to use fast travel without logging out and in

Even though I have unlocked the station (e.g. Kemik) in classic survival mode, the Fast Travel option fails to activate unless I log out and directly back in. This is annoying and feels like a bug. I'm on a windows PC with plenty of power and updated drivers. This is in the survival mode, as mentioned above.
