A plea to allow 60 FPS Updates for LCD's in SE2

How are you doing? I hope you are having a fantastic day.


With the LCD's soon coming to SE2 - I wanted to ask if we might be able to up the refresh/update rate of them to 60 instead of 6 like it is in SE1.


I understand that the choice to limit it in SE1 was most likely to be conservative with the network bandwith, as on 60fps the server has to update 60 times the clients and serve them new sprite data - but it works surprisingly well in my proof of concept.


For this I took Space Engineers 1 - with Pulsar, and upped on the Server and on the Client the update cycle to 60. That can increase the bandwith for multiple screens easy to 200kbyte's.


In SE 2 it could be hidden behind a experiment flag, or given more granual controls to decide the update cycle completely yourself, but anything would be better than 6 updates per second.
