Production Line - Produce button behavior and other feedback
When producing components, it would be nice to request sets of components easily. Having to drag the slider to 100 repeatedly to request 1000 or more components be constructed can get tedious.
I would like to recommend the following tweaks be made to the production windows. For the Produce button, allow the following key combinations:
- Shift + Click - Add 10 components to the queue
- Ctrl + Click - Add 100 components to the queue
- Shift + Ctrl + Click - Add 1000 components to the queue
- Allow for multiple clicks to add batches of components using the same increment. For example, if I shift + click 4 times, the production queue should have 40 components. If I Shift + Ctrl + Click 10 times, the production queue should have 10,000 components.
This will help with components where a large quantity is required, such as building light or heavy armor layers or large-scale structures.
For subtracting from the existing queue, allow the following actions on the queue itself in the Production Queue:
- Click (not right click) - Remove one component from the list
- Shift + Click - Remove 10 components from the list
- Ctrl + Click - Remove 100 components from the list
- Shift + Ctrl + Click - Remove 1000 components from the list
If left-click is not enough or not convenient, use another key such as minus for subtracting components. Similarly, + could be used for adding components.
On another note, it would be nice to use Ctrl when clicking on the slider to be able to enter a specific number of components on the amount slider on this page.
