[BUG] 2.2.0.2116 Ship Blueprint not properly oriented on support blocks

Reported

Hi Keen Team!

While testing in the default survival world I have noticed that my new Cargo Ship Blueprint must be pasted on its side or nose down to have support blocks added automatically and that can give problems when the ship Blueprint does not have the needed thrusters to hover sideways or nose down because it can fall once detached from Auto-Support Blocks.

STR

1 - Use the default survival world from the Survival Category.

2 - Load and try to paste my new Cargo Ship Blueprint (named Griffin) on a planet,

here is the Workshop item link :

3 - Notice that the support blocks are not added when trying to paste the ship properly oriented.

4 - The "Auto-Support Blocks" are added only when ths ship is on its side or nose down :

Additional information :

I think it may be related to grid pivot so red must right, blue is front and green is up, and my new Cargo Ship may not be properly oriented so its Grid Pivot is wrong !?

Hello Daniel Dupuis,

Support truss should be generated preferably on the down facing side of the Grid, if there is buildable space there. As there is a lot of space on bottom side your Grid, there should be supports generated there. As such, I have reported this issue and attached this thread to our internal ticket (SE2-32825).

Kind Regards,
