Gameplay feedback for the developers

Hello,

This is game feedback for the developers.

I have several hundred hours of playtime on SE1.

I have high expectations for SE2, especially regarding the survival/sandbox aspects.

Here is some feedback after playing for several dozen hours:

- Sound Issues:

The sounds of hand drills remain active at times, even when not drilling.

The sounds of mechanical drills are sometimes heard from very far away and very loudly. Reducing the radius or increasing the attenuation seems necessary.

The sounds of mechanical drills repeat and constantly cut out when we should have a more or less continuous noise/sound. This is particularly unpleasant.

- Inventory Interface:

Please implement sorting options: by weight, by type, by name, etc.

- General Interface:

You're going back to the logic of SE1. This remains tedious in 2026. The HUD needs a complete overhaul; access should be much simpler and faster without having to constantly navigate through submenus.

Since you removed the pistons and rotors from the interface, it's even more cumbersome to manage.

The icon-based system on the control panel is also very basic. You constantly have to remember what each symbol represents. It's unmanageable.

It would be helpful to display the power consumption of equipment, such as drills, and possibly, where applicable, pistons, rotors, lights, etc.

- Mining Resources:

The veins in the ground are often ridiculously small (400-500 units).

It often happens that voxels containing material X don't yield resource X. There's a poor match between the mined voxels and the resources obtained.

- Rotors:

You need to add something that easily locks the rotor or allows you to easily reset it to zero.

- Piston:

When a piston is fully open and you lower the maximum limit, the piston instantly moves to the new limit, whereas it should return to its original position according to the speed parameters defined in the piston settings.

- Inconsistencies/Bugs:

Sometimes, the character starts drifting on its own when using thrusters. This often happens when exiting a ship. Even on a planet, the character moves on its own, and there's no way to stop the drift. You have to disable the thrusters to stop it. But sometimes it persists.

When I try to take a specific battery from my inventory, with a specific percentage, sometimes it gives me a different one. The bug doesn't occur from the character to the cargo storage, but always from the cargo storage to the character.

That's all. I hope this helps and that you'll take my feedback into account.

Best wishes.
