Classic Survival - Unable to weld

v2.2.0.2113 - Classic Survival, balanced mod installed
I have been building and welding a platform for a starter base. After mining for a second round of Iron and Nickel, I tried putting down a storage container and welding the partially welded blocks of the platform. Welding is not working at all. I even saved, exited and reloaded the game, and it still didn't work.
I then restarted the game entirely. This too did not solve the problem.
I was able to grind one of the blocks that wouldn't weld, but a newly placed block to replace the ground block could not be welded. So neither holograms nor partial blocks can be welded.
Unable to continue testing the world and mod.

I have the same bug Access denied
I noticed that when I go to weld that it swaps from raw mode to component mode while I am actually trying to weld then swaps back to raw when I stop. It acts like it is welding ( noise, the beams from the welder to the piece etc) but no actual welding or using my ore.
