Sledge spotlights flashing

When I'm in front or above and looking at the cockpit the spotlights flash.
It's not a one-time thing; I can go in front of the ship and if I move the mouse pointer onto the cockpit glass the spotlights will flash. It's as if there's a sensor knowing where I am and if I look at the cockpit it flashes the lights saying "I'm over here" - lol
I think the ship may be haunted!
