Ship dampers not keeping the ship at altitude if I have a rotor and drills connected to the rotor.

I've built a simple miner, with hydrogen power as the atmospheric thruster are just pointless at this point, plenty of thrust for the weight that it will carry when full of ore, but as I added a rotor to the front of the ship with a couple of drills attached the ship slowly sinks to the ground, this isn't a thrust issue as it's quite op and will launch vertical at speed by hitting space , I feel like it's the same issue people are having when a ship is docked to another ship and the physics go out of whack, perhaps it's treating the sub grid as its own entity and the dampers are only working enough for the mass of the ship mass without anything that's connected beyond the rotor?..

Also with the dampers in a typical ship, they are more powerful than just hitting space with dampers off, coming back to planetside with dampers off in one ship I couldn't arrest speed at all unless I threw the dampers on.
