Small vs large solar panel efficiency
After noticing that rotors were added, I finally checked out SE2 to start prototyping a layered solar array I built in SE1. I noticed I could improve its space efficiency when folded if I used the small panels, but then I noticed that they produce 1/8th the power despite having 1/4th the surface area.
I'm guessing this is due to the thickness, and being able to cram 8 into the same volume, but doing this with small solar panels won't get you the surface area of all 8 of them.
Then there's the resource cost. Even if the power outputs were brought in line with each other, 4 small panels cost more glass than one large, let alone 8 of them. Though, this could be kept due to how thin the small ones are + no wire being needed.
Given the overall buff to solar though, I won't be all that upset if the efficiency stays as is or the large ones get nerfed. It just doesn't make much sense given that solar panels rely on surface area, not volume/overall size like an engine or reactor.
