Game Crashing every time I approach the contract site
Playing VS2.2 on Steam.
I have picked up a mission at Vallation Station as follows:
"Engineering - Abandoned Research Outpost
Location: Space
A deep-space research outpost stopped broadcasting for some reason.
The station may be still intact, but it's systems need restoration.
Investigate the site, bring it back online, and secure its stored data."
Every time I approach the contract site, the game crashes between 4-5km away.
I have tried different ships including the Sledge default.
I have tried in both survival and creative mode.
I have rebooted my PC several times and tried starting from an earlier save.
I have tried abandoning the mission but the only mission offered is the same one, which still crashes. This means I can make no further progress and am forced to abandon the game

I get within 20K (ish) of the same station and the game crashes with an application error.
I've rebooted, abandoned the job and restarted, tried everything I can think of and it always crashes which means I'm stuck and cant progress.
I have abandoned the mission and played for a couple of hours upgrading my base and building a new ship without an issue its just when I approach the Abandoned research base.
Please Help!
