[Major Building Bug] Partial Copy Incorrect Rotation Bug Still Present!

Star_Kindler shared this bug 20 days ago
Reported

As the original bug report has received no response after over 14 months, and appears to have been mistakenly listed as "Solved" many months ago despite being present for this entire period, I am making a new bug report. Here is the link to the original, which describes the bug and how to reproduce it: https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers2/pc/topic/45544-partial-copy-incorrect-symmetry-rotation.

Here are additional images from my own experiences trying to build with this bug present:

What I build on one side of my station:

5ed8e9a432f646f2209e131e9c2f7149

What the game places on the other side of the station:

1a5e62ab28f6db5f9441a9cd65baeee8

As you can see, this is a very major bug. It essentially makes it impossible to use blueprint building with symmetry.

We have been waiting for over a year for this to be fixed. PLEASE prioritize fixing this! It's getting ridiculous!

Hello Star_Kindler,

This is expected behavior. Symmetry mode was not planned to support blueprints or pasted grids (Both Partial copy and Full Grids) initially. Enabling the use of Symmetry mode with blueprints and pasted grids will most likely come with future Vertical Slices. I have added this thread to our internal ticket (SE2-21102).

Kind Regards,

Oh... I see. I could have sworn it was shown off as working in the teasers to VS1. Well darn, that's really unfortunate, thanks for letting me know. Very much looking forward to this being added as this would make building soooo much better!
