New Save for new updates, Please Change
Hello Guys,
I am super happy with the new content and the new updates, and I know this may be a limitation issue, but having to create new saves for a major update really hurts. After spending hours picking a spot for a base, building it up, and unlocking all the tech. Having to start from scratch is really annoying.
It would be nice for some workaround. I know some people will just say "hop in creative", but I like the "progression feel" of survival and having to cheat stuff in, or command skip missions feels bad.
For a new update, it would be nice to either save my progress from my engineer and take him to the new world, so I don't need to go through the "quite long" progression or load into a pre-designed level with the content already unlocked. I feel like if I make a new survival world and have to "cheat" stuff in spoilers, the game.
I really would like cross update progression, so in a year or 2, I can load up that same save and see my "journey" through SE2.
I feel like this would benefit the development, as I can see people not playing new updates due to "restarting" the game. If there is only a "cheaty" way to do it, make it more official. For example, a pop-up at the start of the level saying, "Would you like to unlock all tech and spawn in a new starter area with a starter ship", so people do not need to redo the whole progression.
I hope this helps, as I was a bit bummed today, having time off work, noticing I need to create a new world to experience the new content.
However, after doing so, the new update is awesome, so good job!!!
