Performance issues VS2.2

After VS2.2 and a while of playing, my CPU is now going to 100% and staying there with SE2 taking 80% to 90% of the CPU time. It didn't do this before VS2.2 and is causing random stutters and frame issues. I tried reloading the game and my CPU goes right back to the same behavior, 100% with SE2 taking 80-90% of the CPU time.

Without letting them know what kind of CPU you have, its unlikely that they will be able to help you.


For me, i have less CPU usage now in VS2.2 compared to VS2.1, but my framerate is slightly lower 2-5%

@Oratory is right, sorry. I have a Ryzen 5600X, 32GB RAM and an RTX 3060 12GB.

I currently am having the same issue, my CPU is a Rysen 7 7700X and my GPU is a AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT, I also have 64g's of ram, I've done loads of testing on the stuttering thinking it was my PC having a issue but after quite a bit of time figured out it was the game, at the lowest of the low settings the game runs terribly, with stutters and lag spikes literally every second, this is the same at every quality level up to the max, I have no clue what it was like in the previous update since I haven't been playing constantly since the game got released, but right now its unplayable.

I have Lenovo 5 Pro laptop. Amd 5800H, 16gb ram, RTX3070, 1t+2t SSDs. I have also similar issues. Frame rate is constant 40-60 fps, medium settings, but game sim speed seems to stutter. In vs2.2 its more jelly like rubber banding for every 10 sec after 30 mins of play in space or on planets. It used to be more hard stop and go on vs2.0 every 10 sec on planets mostly.

i7-12700 experiencing the same thing. CPU at 100% constantly with temps just a few degrees cooler than running Star Citizen.

Cores 0-7 are under heavy load. Cores 8-11 are also quite heavily utilized though not to the same extent.

Jelly like stutter went away with 2.20.1991 but there are still CPU lag spikes. I suspect production block calls. Game save, logs and task manager screenshot attached.

After community feedback update lag spikes are still there. They might be related to contract grids or random signals. I played new survival start with ballance iteration mod. First 2 hours all fine building main base and mining. Lag spikes started after couple of random signals spawned. I managed to grind down crashed ship encounter without problems but flying back to landing pod excavation site spawned and lag spikes started. I think excavation site is contract grid if im not mistaken.
