Remove required dependency of nvml.dll
Not a Bug
On Linux, if using an NVIDIA GPU you must use the
PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=1launch argument as the game expects to find 'nvml.dll' (not included in wine/proton), this can cause NVIDIA-specific optimizations to also be removed as the game thinks you are running on a generic DirectX device, this bug report is a request to make 'nvml.dll' optional instead of required for playing the game, which may improve Linux performance.

I have the same bug
Sadly the answer will be "we do not currently support linux, you being able to start the game at all is just lucky"
I do however wish we could get the most basic linux support, as the amount of gamers using it is growing rapidly, like you said, the dependency is LITERALLY optional, the fact that they make it a requirement is what screws us over.

Hello AverseMoon,
Please note that both Space Engineers and Space Engineers 2 does not support Linux based systems and all efforts to make SE and SE2 work on Linux-based systems is Community-based.
In the Linux chat on our Official Discord server: https://discord.gg/keenswh , you can find a spreadsheet with workarounds and general support in terms of Linux compatibility.
Unfortunately I cannot provide more assistance.
As explained in this comment I will close this thread as Not a Bug.
Kind Regards
