MEMORY LEAK - F KEY ON CARGO

SuperDK7 shared this bug 20 days ago
Reported

The inventory memory leak is still present in today's release but has changed a bit. Now, the same approximately 100MB memory leak occurs when you press F to access a cargo container. During the 2 minutes of testing, it only occurred when using the F key to access a NEW cargo container. Once I access a cargo container the memory leak no longer occurs on that specific cargo container. The memory leak also no longer happens when pressing tab while in the cockpit. I've performed this test on an existing world.

Hello SuperDK7,

We could not find any memory leaks on new Saves. Could you please provide your affected Save file?

If you're saying that worlds created with .1972 version, then I confirm. However, the memory leak still exists when loading in .57 version of worlds, even if the world is saved and re-loaded. That's okay as we move forward, but it seems odd that the same issue won't exist in the .1972.

Attached is the .57 world and video showing the issue. This .57 world was opened, saved, exited and then continued. Again, I have not been able to reproduce this in any new .1972 version world.

Hello SuperDK7,

We have reproduced this memory leak on the provided save and reported the issue internally. Additionally we have added this thread to our internal ticket (SE2-31715).

Thank you, I wanted to share that the memory leak that was previously fixed just happened several times in a row when you're in the cockpit and hit the tab key to enter inventory.

Hello SuperDK7,

There should be no significant memory leaks on current Game version: 2.2.0.2002. Could you please confirm that is the case for you?
