So i have been trying to get some grids to export into SE 2 but the grid exporter tool is generating blueprints that fail to load, i don't know if it is due to dlc blocks or an incompatible tool due to its last update being in august of 2025.

Thinking on it with the additions they made to se2 its possible some ids got changed and is causing the issue too. it could be as simple as updating how it exports. also thinking if you export with unknown blocks, you can tell it to ignore or convert to armor blocks. using true true or false false. when I first had this issue, I tried to use false false which should have allowed for it to ignore unknown blocks, but it still failed.

I've been doing some testing on this after exporting one of ships and getting the error Failed to Load Blueprint when trying to import to SE2. I started by removing, in SE1, all the obvious blocks that are not in SE2, hydrogen engine, jump drives etc. but it still failed.

So, I removed blocks until just the armor block shell was left, then it worked. It may be just one block in the design that is causing the problem.

I set up a test platform and found that conveyor tubes, gyros and simple doors work, control seat and flight seat both turn into control seats. Reinforced conveyors, LG batteries, gravity generators and LG connectors all turn into blocks which is ok. And I removed all the glass from the grid but it still errored.

Has anyone else done any testing with this? There are a lot of blocks and testing them all one by one until I find one that generates this error is very time consuming.
