block size selection with 'r+shift'

One of the complaints I have and see from others is that you have to go through all the variants of block sizes when pressing 'r' to find the size you want, and if you go past or you need another size you have to go all the way through the selection again, this adds a lot of extra button pushing.
I think it would be helpful to add a shift function that lets you reverse the flow of the size selection. i.e. go past the block you want push r+shift to back up to it.
