Quick select variants of blocks rather than R
I find that, in order to switch between variants of blocks, such as for the light armor block, if I accidentally miss the variant or size I wanted to use I have to go all the way around. I noticed that holding R to open up a paint wheel feels weird because you use R to use the next block variant. I really liked how snappy the color wheel was though and I was thinking that replacing the color wheel with a "variant" wheel with size being denoted with a colored highlight or something similar would make building feel a lot more snappy!
(Instead of going, "okay I need a large slope let me click R until I get it... There we go, now, wait I need a smaller part here" it's "okay I need a large slope, opens wheel selects, places, okay I need a smaller slope here, *opens wheel, selects, place*")
