Drill 5.25m incorrect spacing and drill radius

We cannot mount 5.25m drills next to each other and we should be able to use them with 1 block spaced between them. This causes a waste in resources and the inability to place anything between two drills.
I consider this a bug because you cannot mine successfully due to voxels getting stuck between drills.
1) Drills cannot be placed on the next block, must keep a spacing of at least .5m between drills.
2) Voxels are missed between drills placed one block apart.
3) Drill mode should be a tad wider too; voxels are missed when right clicking too.
4) We cannot even put a drill diagnally next to an existing drill which causes a huge gap when you have a 3x3 from with a drill in each corner.
