Sector 3 Mission 1 Objective 3 cannot complete

Delivering the Unknown Ship back to the Supply Base does not complete for me. I have flown that thing all over the base and landed on the landing pad but it just will not complete.
I have saved and shut down the game completely to see if that would fix it as well as flying 10km away and back to see if it would trigger but no luck.

Also just tried abandoning and restarting the mission. I didn't scrap anything this time just incase the Bullfrog is needed in this step but still no luck. The step just will not complete no matter what I do.
