[on completion] Please optimise the game!

Hello KSH, I love space engineers a lot, got space engineers II on launch just to support you guys, decided i'd wait until the game is slightly more complete.

And... since survival just dropped, I thought I'd try to play, but unfortunately the minimum requirements for SE 2 means that an Iris Xe on a moderate-power workhorse laptop [Asus Vivobook 15] aren't nearly enough for the lowest bar to even let me open the starting menu to play the game. Mildly disheartening considering that this same system could run SE1 on maximum graphics at a ~10km view distance and multiple near-mile long ships.

I'm not saying optimise the game right now. I can wait another 5 years if need be. Just please have this as a peg nearer to the top of the ledger in your game design moodboards and meetings...

While I understand the game is still in development, this is a reminder that optimisation is not just a comfort feature, but accessibility too. not only does it run better on good hardware, it allows a wider range of systems to run and play the game, netting more customers (read: MONEY!!!!) in the long run. Plus you get to flex on the industry's habit of 100GB minimum games and the at-the-time-latest GPU, earning you consumer loyalty.

Given the prices of GPUs and RAM [and their steadily declining quality and lifespan] as of writing, a better setup is not feasible to purchase/construct, so until the current market stabilises, "get a better graphics card" is not exactly a good idea financially. if I could graft an 8090 in this 5-year old laptop that's had its motherboard replaced 9 times due to ASUS having the quality control of ACME.co I would do so, trust me.
