asymmetric thrust and carrier ships

A lot of people seem to be realising that the asymmetric thrust implementation means it's currently impossible to haul any reasonably large ship by connecting it to another (eg a mining ship connected to a cargo ship).

I really like the asymmetric thrust. If there's a serious thruster placement vs centre of mass discrepancy, I think that should cause you to need so many gyroscopes to fly smoothly to the point that the average builder will take com into account. The problem is that the connector system can't/won't allow you to control the connected ships' thrusters from the cockpit of the carrier, meaning there's literally no way to fly atm. So, either allow compensation by

-adding extra gyros to carrier ships to allow them to have wonky com (nb I did try hauling in a ship with lots of gyros and couldn't see any improvement)

-or we need some way of placing connected thrusters under the command of the occupied cockpit to allow thrusters to be distributed over the combined mass. That might be a bit of a pain to set up if you are docking ships upside down or facing backwards with respect to the carrier vessel, I'm not sure.

I guess ideally both should be possible. I quite like the idea of needing lots of gyros or some other specific set up as it encourages making dedicated carrier ships instead of just strapping random crafts together as needed (I wanted to park my miner onto the sledge for extra cargo space, but I feel like the challenge of converting it into a proper carrier would have been cool instead of just slapping the two together)
