Game keeps making a whole bunch of online connections in single player...

For some reason I'm seeing it making a whole bunch of connections all the time in single player mode. I do not have any workshop items installed, just the base game.

These are the ones I've specifically logged:

and for some reason a github connection and a connection to the crashlog server before... actually having any crashes...

These are just the ones I clicked away when my firewall popped them up just trying to get to the menu and start a new game. I got sick of the constant popups and hit block on the game entirely once I got to this point because it kind of gets annoying after a while. I did allow a number of these at first for a few minutes just assuming it had initial setup stuff or news servers or etc, but it just kept coming and coming and coming... I don't think the list above is even all of them, it's just all that I saved.

I'm sure there's some perfectly valid reason why you want to make so many connections, but I just don't think any game should be doing so, especially not in single player mode... I don't know if it's doing some analytics or if it's participating in a bot network or what the heck is going on exactly, but after a while I just had to reject it to shut the firewall up. (No, the "you've pestered me too many times" default is reject, not accept and that is how it must be.)
