Spinning animation for safe zones is disorienting

Having some kind of animation is fine but having it turning slowly is a bit disorienting as makes it feel like everything is spinning. Maybe have the segments slowly fade in and out?
It's similar to how when watching a train leave from the platform, if you're too focused it can feel like you're being pulled away with it despite you being stationary and it can be disorienting. Similarly, when on a train and adjacent train is moving or moving in another direction/speed.
