Really poor save management and one bonus UI/UX item
Not Enough Votes
Here are a few things that I think are really bad design choices and hopefully are easily fixed:
- No dedicated auto-save slots - auto saves overwriting manual saves is honestly just insane
- Speaking of auto-save - allowing auto-save while you're dead is probably not ideal either
- The "Do you want to save your world" confirmation box when exiting or loading a game. Clicking "Exit" and then clicking "Yes" on a popup should EXIT, not SAVE. Clicking Load Game and then clicking "Yes" on a popup should LOAD, not SAVE. This is like UX 101.
- Survival mode not having a target toggle button is wild in a building game. Interior blocks are completely unbuildable without deconstructing something on at least one side. You have a target system, why not let the user change the target under the cursor??
Thank you for coming to my UX ted talk.
