Material Options - Interpolation (Option to switch)

Hey! Space Bear (creator of that one Minecraft Mod), I've noticed materials don't really support smaller textures, so I've made my mod 128x128 to compensate, this is because the materials all clearly use some type of Interpolation that blurs all the textures slightly to make them look more realistic on larger scale textures right? This is great an it's standard for all realistic style games, but for pixel art it's bad.


So I'd really like if "Closest" Interpolation was an option, I'm using blender terminology here but basically it means there is no blurring done to the texture at all and the raw sharp pixels are seen exactly how they should be, a lot of game engines have this and it would certainly make my mod look way sharper!
