Hi Keen,

Thank you for this build it is really nice and it looks fantastic. Here are some things i hope you can improve on:


Bugs:

  • when walking over loose objects in gravity the boots suddenly shift to the new object and you get tilted.
  • dropping sound appears way to often while walking in a cave or changing from voxel to grid and vise versa.
  • innertial dampernass over corrects and can cause you to change direction instead of only breaking
  • in gravity the thrusters are not strong enough to lift up when not using innertial dampernass
  • mission progress can happen if you do stuff at your base. softlocking the mission


Feedback

  • engine sound based on speed is annoying especially while cruising. imo it should sound like wind or small meteors hitting the ship (a lot more subtle but still an indicator for the current speed)
  • sound in general feels a little lackluster.
  • music for the first 5 hours was great especially when leaving the planet for the first time.

  • it would be nice to have a current vector indicator since it is quite hard to tell which direction i am flying in in space
  • new innertial dampernass mode: only against gravity. so i can still cruise without wasting energy
  • backpack building feels easier than getting all the components. (maybe speed of backpack building should be nerfed, Build planner like in SE1 needs to be added)
  • some missions feel tedious when having to fly 180km and then to the surface and back. expecially if you cannot accept multiple contracts at the same time.
  • i do not know if it is possible to change voxel texture depending on gravity/direction. but it would make diggin on planets look nicer and less disorienting.


things that i think will come in the future:

  • overhauled gps

  • artificial horizon, height indicator
