Widescreen/Ultrawide HUD Support
I very much enjoyed the SE2 alpha tutorial but I have one important compatibility issue. I keep having to turn my head and look at the edges of my monitor to see important information on the HUD!
Attached is a screenshot of the existing state of the HUD on my display as an example. Please note that when looking at the left corners elements of the HUD, I cannot see the right corners even in my peripheral vision!
I have attached an example of a game with this option enabled that I quickly found on google.
Complex HUDs locked to the edges of the screen is a widespread problem with many games so much so that player groups rate the compatibility of games with ultrawide monitors.
Many games implement this ultrawide HUD support by limiting the aspect ratio of the HUD overlay such that it occupies the center ~40-60% of the screen.
I ask that the same be done for SE2 so players with widescreen and ultrawide monitors can enjoy the game all the more.
