Crash trying to load old save while playing

Solved

I failed a contract, so tried to go back and load the last save. As soon as I hit the "load" button my game crashed to desktop.

I have the same bug

Hello Allison M,

Thank you for your report. Could you please attach the last save file that crashes for you? You can find it here:

C:\Users(your_username)\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers2\AppData\SaveGames

Could you also send us the logs from when the game crashes? They are located here:

C:\Users(your_username)\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers2\Temp\Logs

Ah. My bad - of course you would want those files, but I didn't grab the save folder. When I restarted the game, the save loaded just fine, so I figured the problem was with loading one version while playing another, not the save itself. Hopefully you can glean something from the log files, at least.
