bug after death
- I rammed into a rock accidentaly, ship exploded and I died.
- It loaded my last save but I am not where I should be, I respawned back at the starter platform with the ship i was supposed to load in next to being nowhere to be seen.
- It said i had a backpack out there with red text, so I went there to nothing. Also, no ship anywhere to be found. Whole save is now bricked. I'm stuck with no ship and no way to continue. Now i have to do it all over again.
Complete hard-lock.
It's almost liked I died, and picked respawn instead of re-loading the save. Lol, Hard to explain. I am standing at the starter platform with a marker showing where my backpack is because i "died"... but it should'nt show that.. because i reloaded the save...?
I was able to go and load an older save... and I am standing exactly where I should be. Odd bug.

In Survival, when you die, you are respawned at the nearest Survival Kit / Medical Room if none is registered. Since you have collided with a rock, your backpack was most probably launched in to space at great speed and the red GPS marker should show the exact location of it.
You have an option to load previous save however, you'd need to do so manually.
Have you been able to reproduce this? Would you be able to provide a video recording?

That's it, I definitely loaded at the nearest survival kit. I have not been able to reproduce, I can try slamming myself into a wall again and seeing what happens. From now on I'll be using recording software.
Thankfully, yes, I found that option to load previous saves and everything went right back to where it was supposed to be.
What I did exactly: Approach too fast > slam into asteroid > explode and die > within 6 seconds I hit escape > load
and boom, loaded back in to the issue.
