Backpack crafting + first thoughts
I understand that the focus is on building and making that more intuitive and encouraged, but I think that the backpack crafting should be made less powerful, or at least create options for it to be.
By that I mean that it could be made slower, or that you have to manually craft the components - no more autocrafting - or maybe even that it is inefficient and each crafted component costs significantly more than it would if made in the smelter.
Everyone likes to play the game in different ways so I think the best implementation would be to have settings for it added to the world settings so builders can focus on building and more hardcore players can enjoy a more difficult or tedious beginning.
As a side note, I noticed that as I was playing, I managed to do some of the objectives slightly out of order due to salvaging rather than mining, and it seemed to make the game slightly confused when I eventually completed the mining objective as it told me to go back and repair the ship I had already repaired.
