Glitchy/static-y sound in specifically left ear

Issue

For some reason, I keep hearing some sort of subtle glitchy sound in my left ear. At first I thought it might be an intentional sound-- maybe a block was damaged and sparking?-- but I quickly realized that's likely not the case, since nothing is damaged. See the attached video to hear the sound.

I'd like to note it's not directional; it's only in my left ear. In SE1, there's a related problem where stereo sounds played in 3D space (e.g. Jukebox music) only play in the left ear, so maybe it's related to that in some way? I'm just spitballing here.

It's worth noting that restarting the game (though not reloading the save) does fix the issue, at least temporarily. I haven't played enough at the time of writing this to discover if the issue will repeat, and I can't pinpoint when the issue started during my session.

System Info

I have my headphones set to 24 bit/48kHz and "audio enhancement"/"spatial sound" turned off. My sound drivers are just stock Realtek audio drivers, and I verified they're up to date.

I'm on Windows 11 (wish I wasn't, thanks michaelsoft) and the latest version of the game on Steam. I have zero mods; this is a completely vanilla install.
