Visual Improvement Proposal Disintegration Effect for Destroyed Particles

Hello Keen Team,

I would like to suggest a small visual improvement for Space Engineers 2. The idea is to enhance how destroyed materials and particles disappear by adding a brief disintegration light effect instead of a simple instant vanish.

When debris or small pieces are destroyed, they could emit a short glow, spark, or light fade-out, giving the impression that the material is being vaporized or atomized rather than just disappearing. A similar visual effect can be seen in Hardspace: Shipbreaker, where dismantled materials briefly glow and dissolve, creating a convincing sense of energy release and material breakdown.

The effect could vary depending on the material type — metal glowing, ice sublimating, stone crumbling — and it would only appear on visible nearby debris to remain performance-friendly. This would add visual depth to explosions, salvage operations, and cutting effects.

This subtle touch would make destruction sequences more natural and immersive, fitting perfectly with Space Engineers 2’s focus on visual realism and high-quality engineering detail.

Thank you for considering this visual enhancement.

Kind regards,

Alex
