In short, game physics should closely follow the real world physics from your textbooks, unless it seriously conflicts with gameplay. In particular, conservation of energy. There are movement parts in SE1 that have a maximum power input of 2 kW even on large grids, such as the Advanced Rotor.

I suggest changing this for SE2 to the mechanical output power they actually deliver, plus a small percentage for imperfect efficiency. That would also allow to add generators without enabling perpetuum mobiles.
