Left side of "this" control seat does not allow connetions

at title says, the left side of "this" seat does not allow connections, placing a new seat allows connections unlike this seat which drops the connected item, reloading the save/game does not fix.

blocks used wall pillar and the sturctural straight 2.5 though i assume all blocks would fail to connect to "this" seat
