Joining through steam will leave you in a slectator cam
Not a Bug
Though I not had the issue my self from my understanding if you use the method of joining a friend through steam you load intonthebworld but get stuck in a spectator cam like the image attach shows.

Please re-submit you ticket to Space Engineers Support as the multiplayer is not yet supported in Space Engineers 2 :)
