Solved

when replacing grid and saving it to update my ship the picture , the changes made to the description and even the pcu count is update and even the log says that it as being updated .

but when i place it down using the newly updated grid the changes didnt get saves in terms of block and colors , i have tried also with low pcu grids to check if it wasnt just my ship but no , i even tried to unsubscibe to it and resubscibe but no .

i dont know if its a bug or just on my side but i saw over builder not having theyre grids updated somewhere around the doors release and before the beds .

Hello DriedRhino35087,

Blueprints should now be correctly updated when replacing grids. Could you please confirm that is the case for you?

hi , so the first time i tried with 100 pcu grid the game tried to save the changes but after 5min of lowding i alt f4 , how ever the second time it did work , but i did it with a regulare none publish grid , i didnt special but when i made the bug repport i was talking about replacing published grid so you dont need to make 20 version of the same thing over time , we ad the option before to do so but it didnt work and now we dont have anymore the option to replace published grids , i made a bug repport about this here : cant replace grid to update workshop | Space Engineers 2 Support

but yes replacing grids works now , how ever only for none published grids .

Hello DriedRhino35087,

Regular Replace Grid option was removed for published Blueprints. Now to update the published Blueprint, you have to re-publish the updated Grid. A confirmation pop-up should appear to let you update the already published Blueprint:

8b74239effe8603380bda0dc0618fb5d

In order to replace the published Grid with an updated one you must:

  1. Place your local copy of the published Blueprint
  2. Update the placed Grid
  3. Replace the local copy of the published Blueprint with updated Grid
  4. Publish the updated Blueprint
  5. Press "Replace" on a confirmation pop-up

If you'll have any more questions, feel free to ask them or if you are not already a member, join our official Discord server: https://discord.gg/keenswh

As this is intended behavior, I will close the ticket.

Kind Regards,
