SE 2 Quick Block Swap/Equip Mechanic

One mechanic I would love to have added to Space Engineers 2 is the ability to look at a placed block/item and press a hotkey button that will equip that specific block to your hotbar for the purpose of being able to quickly equip already placed blocks. Lets say you started a project and then took a break from it. You already set up your hotbars with a different set of blocks than the blocks you used for that specific project. It would be nice to quickly look at the placed blocks and immediately have access to that block for placement of new blocks. This would help speed things up quite a bit as you wouldn't have to go to the build menu to select the blocks that you already have placed in the world.

It would be nice if you hover your hotbar cursor over a blank space, that by pressing the hotkey, it automatically places that block in the hotbar space you have selected. If you already have an object saved to that hotbar slot, then this would swap out to the new block you have swapped to.

Any ways to minimize having to go into the UI to perform a simple task is a welcome feature. Less time in the UI means more time building and exploring. Just a simple QOL idea I thought of when messing around with the building mechanics in SE 2.
