Workshop Blueprints - Replacing Grid Does Not Work

Andrew Longua shared this bug 4 months ago
Not a Bug

See title. When replacing a grid for an item that has been uploaded to the Steam Workshop, the grid doesn't actually get replaced (ie. adding parts, repainting, etc doesn't update). However, the blueprint thumbnail DOES accurately update.

Issue does not seem to carry over to offline blueprints. Blueprints not uploaded to the workshop do not have this issue.

Hello Andrew Longua,

Functionality of updating blueprints that are published to Steam workshop is different than with the offline (local) blueprints. Currently, to update the published blueprint, you have to republish it again after making changes.

How it works:

  1. Create a blueprint,
  2. Publish the blueprint,
  3. Make changes to the local blueprint,
  4. Publish the updated local blueprint,
  5. The Game should detect that there is already a blueprint with that name and give you an option to replace it, as seen in the screenshot,

  6. After pressing Replace, the published blueprint should be updated with new local one.

Since this is the intended functionality, I am closing this thread.

Kind Regards,
