Main Menu Will Not Load (1.2.200.4736 Alpha)

I saved and quit to menu (because after alt tabbing the textures were incredibly low resolution and would not go back to being a higher resolution, resulting in the game looking terrible) and none of the buttons loaded
the cursor is present, but does nothing (does not show up in screenshot)
If it affects it, I was tabbed out while the world was saving and unloading, and had -hideVersion enabled in launch options, but I doubt those are the culprits.
I have not been able to replicate it, and simply restarting the game fixes the issue.
