Space Engineers works without issue version 2 not getting past start menues

When the game begins regardless of my hardware I get the performance issue screen.
I click OKAY and it now takes me to the next screen. I see the roadmap and the future plans for Space Engineers 2. I have a checkbox (don't show this again) and the OKAY button.
Just like with the initial performance screen it is as if the eventhandlers are not getting set.
Could it be because of entering that screen from the performance warning screen vs. going straight into the screen? Different code paths; if each code path sets the eventhandlers?
