gyroscope "snapping?"

when using a ship with gyros, if you move your mouse excessively in one direction, (causing to spin quickly) and then while it is spinning in 1 direction, move the mouse in the opposite direction equally aggressively. the result is the grid slows down in the 1st direction (expected) but once reaches 0 rotational speed, quickly "snaps" and starts quickly spinning in the other direction. as if the inputs are queued rather than additive. the closer you time moving the mouse in the opposite direction to the time where the original spin speed slows to 0, the more apparent the snapping is. also this can be reproduced with small mouse movements and is still very noticeable, just easier with larger faster movements. if you need more details like a clip attachment, let me know. thank you
