Shift Click to Select Bounding Box (Improved Selection)
So how I expect this to work is like this:
You first initiate a selection and click on the origin block, but here's what makes it better; you make it so when you shift click another block, the selection automatically contains the new block you selected along with the previously selected blocks. This essentially speeds up the selection process as a matter of selecting blocks at the edge of the selection you want. On top of that you will no longer need to painfully scroll for ages to reach a certain point, especially for larger grids.
For reference, this is basically how Stormworks operates its block selection system.
I would also suggest that these blocks that you shift click select would be highlighted similar to the origin block and could be deselected in the case of a misclick so you wouldn't have to start all over.
