Simplified Projector
Creating a full blown accurate per block grid projector is not necessarily performance friendly and sometimes not even practical for larger ships. I suggest adding a projector which generates simplified 3d representation of the ship. I don't know the details of how but if the process was expensive I suggest making it asynchronous so that It doesn't stop the main thread ( which was the case when loading complex projections in SE1). I also suggest adding a slider which would allow scaling down the projection, and also adding event system ( I think in general there should be event manager which would let interactable blocks communicate easily ) which could show ping point like red pulses or maybe even text signaling for example that intruders have entered the ship or that crucial part got damaged.
