LOD Detail disappearing too soon

On maximum settings, detail of specific shadows seems to disappear at unusual rates, oftentimes as you're equally as close to one spot as another as shown in the attached photos. Often prematurely as shown in attached image #2.
I have the same bug

The LOD level changes at farther distance now. Could you please confirm that is the case for you?
