20-50 percent = a bit more violent impulse that causes minimal damage but is great for a quick boosts of speed say for like a jump function for rovers or a quick forward one time boost
50-100= a very violent boost practically born for custom projectile launchers (note: this is personally a idea I have for a easier version of rotor cannons where the panels could be used to create a false kind of gunpowder allowing for practical custom cannons without the need of complex rotor assemblys instead just a good barrel and a significant charge) aside from that though this wouldn't make rotor cannons obsolete as these wouldn't be as powerful in space allowing for rotor cannons to be the main format of space based custom projecttile to metal bologna spaghetti technologies
(Sub reason as to why large boar explosion based cannons would necessarily work well in space, due to well, the vacuum of space due to the nature of gas and its willingness to expand the explosion wouldn't necessarily have any gravity or atmosphere to direct it causing weak expansion of gasses unless the chamber itself was pressurized then the charge was detonated and then the chamber rapidly de-pressurized to force the gasses out in a specific direction so rotor cannons and railguns would hold as king in space)
Aside from that this max impulse would be useful for rapidly clearing doors from ships drop pods and escape pods as a emergency release if the door itself goes under damage from impact
