Space Cats
From Jones in the first Alien, to Goose in Captain Marvel, Orion in Men In Black or Sox in Lightyear, cats and space look cool together.
They are interior species. Small, they just require food, a litter and could have fun looking at a window or an aquarium (like the one in SE1). Could hunt intrusive species in the space ships/stations (rodents, insect) in the same way they were used in the real world to hunt rodents on SHIPS centuries ago. It would be cute too.
In a praticable way, they could have their own space suit (think Cosmo in Marvel), be "Android"/robot like Sox (no need for food/litter and able to survive in space) or even an holographic or alien one.
I know it's not a priority at all, more an idea for later in the process. SE1 had wolves, so having another real specie in SE2 would be fun and a cool reference to great movies like Alien or Lightyear. Thanks for reading !
