Easier access to mods

I know there is already stuff planed like a ingame mod browser.
But I want to point here to another aspect that made mods often difficult to use for normal users and that is access to the settings of mods.
So we need a feature that mod creators easily can build in, that all settings for the mod can made ingame over a default mod setting menu API. So that players only need to go into the "menu > mods > mod name > settings" (maybe also a "> settings > category" for mods with a lot of settings) to change all settings that this mod delivers.
That would make mods for all users a lot more accessible over a standard solution for all mods.
Maybe Keen already have that point on their list, but I want to be sure that they have so please vote.
