Subgrid listings in control panel suggestion

This is more of a down the road feature since subgrids aren't really a thing yet, but i would like to see automated listings in the control interface to help with clutter and organization. Maybe in the form of tabs, or automated groupings. As someone who plays around a lot with subgrids in SE1, this would be a massive QOL feature to streamline builds. Basically whenever you start a new subgrid, the control panel system automatically creates a new "tab" or group for that subgrid, so you can see either the totality of the grid, the primary grid, or the subgrid(s) and their associated parts.

My tuppence worth (instead of creating a new thread) - I think more than that is needed. Under SE1, I could hilight all the pistons I needed at once (click and shift click) as the "parent" indicator was just the colouring to the left of the icon.

As of 2.2?, all subgrids appear under a parent control. If I connect 10 pistons together and want to group them, I have to make 10 separate selections / ctrl+click. Even searching for pistons display the parent control above it. Its slow, and (in my opinion), more error prone.

I would like to see options in the K menu to list controls: "Alphabetically, by type, by name, by group...". that way the player can select what they want to see at that point.
