Please consider integrating true analog controller support as bindable inputs for SE2.
I don't just mean catering to the gamepad players (which is a legitimate target audience), but to the flight stick, HOTAS, HOSAS crowds... of which there are many of us. it would be a HUGE quality of life feature for us.
important things to consider:
- User bindable axis via settings (with inversion option)
- Configurable axis deadzones and input curves for the axis.
- User bindable buttons
- Editable binding config file (*.ini or something)
- Multiple inputs for the same control (example: Action "move forward" Input="w", Input="Btn3", Input="Axis+Z")
These have been staple features for flight (space and otherwise) games since the DOS days all the way up to modern titles and was one of the very few things that saddened me about SE1. It wouldn't even have to be a primary focus, but should be a legitimately developed feature and/or option.
